U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team

The United States Special Operations Command Parachute Team will be at the Offutt AFB Open House this year.  The team performs a precision freefall parachute demonstration that informs the public about the Command’s mission and the great work being done by Spec-Ops Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen around the world.

The team jumpers leave the aircraft at approximately 12,500 feet and will freefall for approximately 2 miles.  During the 120 mile per hour freefall the team will demonstrate a number of formations, popping smoke so spectators will be able to keep an eye on the team.  Upon reaching a height of 4000 feet the team breaks formation to open their chutes, after which they will again line up for a precise landing on the Airfield.

The team is composed of active duty military and department of defense civilians who typically come from a special operations background with members from each of the branches Special Operations Forces.  Come on out and witness what training and dedication can achieve in the skies above Offutt AFB.

Please join us from 0900 – 1730 on the 30th and 31st.
